By means of the special adaptation wring out a pusher down and, having used a small screw-driver, or other suitable tool, take an adjusting washer.
Having made necessary calculations, pick up a new adjusting washer of the demanded thickness, plant it in a pusher and repeat check.

At calculation of the demanded thickness of a new adjusting washer it is necessary to use the following formula:
Н1 = Н0 + (dM - dS)
Where:
Н1 — Settlement thickness of a demanded washer
Н0 — Thickness of the removed washer
dM — Size of the measured gap
dS — Nominal size of a gap
For example:
Let:
Н0 = 4.00 mm, dM = 0.30 mm,
dS = 0.25 mm,

Then:
Н1 = 4.00 + (0.30 – 0.25) = 4.05 (mm)
