Removal and installation of a transfer case

Depending on specifics of prospective procedures of service the transfer case can act in film as assembled with transmission, and in an individual order. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
Remove levers of switching of the AT RKPP/selector (see. Head the Five-step manual box of gear shifting or Automatic transmission respectively) and a transfer case (see. Section Removal and installation of the lever of switching of modes of a transfer case).
Merge from a transfer case oil (see. Head Current leaving and service).
Remove driveshafts (see. Section Removal, service and installation of driveshafts).

In order to avoid violation of balancing of the driveshaft do not disunite a shlitsevy joint of its sections! |
Disconnect electroconducting from the 4WD alarm indicator sensor switch.
Disconnect electroconducting from VSS.
In order to avoid damage of support of a suspension bracket of the power unit prop up transmission by a telezhechny jack.
Turn out fixing bolts (two in a support and two in the chassis) and remove a lateral support of a suspension bracket of a transfer case.
Turn out eight fixing bolts of the chassis, plus four bolts of fastening of the bottom support and remove a cross-section beam.
Prop up a transfer case a telezhechny jack.
Turn out 10 fixing bolts and, slightly obstukivy an interfaced surface a kiyanka, separate a transfer case from transmission.
Lower a transfer case, take it from under the car and transfer on a workbench.
Installation is made upside-down, - track observance of requirements of Specifications of Head the Transmission line to efforts of a tightening of carving fixture. Special attention give to correctness of connection of driveshafts (track correctness of combination of the landing labels put in the course of dismantle).
In summary fill in in a box necessary amount of fresh oil of a demanded grade, correctly having modified its level (see. Head Current leaving and service).
