Removal, service and installation of the main brake cylinder

Hit of brake liquid on the painted body surfaces is interfaced to risk of damage of a paint and varnish covering, - it is necessary to delete casually got splashes immediately with dry rags or pure paper towels!

GTTs installation details

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Enclose under GTTs rags for the purpose of prevention of hit of brake liquid on the painted surfaces of body panels. Pump out from the GTTs tank hydraulic liquid.
    Disconnect electroconducting from the sensor switch of level of brake liquid in the tank of brake liquid and the differential sensor switch of the valve regulator of pressure.
    By means of a special cap natural a cutting head disconnect from GTTs hydraulic lines.
    Operating in a similar manner, disconnect hydraulic lines from GTTs of the valve regulator located under assembly, - models with brake system a base design.
    Turn out a fixing bolt and remove GTTs together with the valve regulator from the vacuum amplifier of brakes, - try not to bend a pusher rod.

Try not to allow damages of a mirror of the cylinder and working surfaces of piston assemblies!

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Turn out a fixing bolt and remove from the cylinder case the tank of brake liquid.
    In case of need remove from the tank a cover and take the mesh filter enclosed under it.
    Having accurately hooked a stupid screw-driver, take from reception nests in the GTTs case rubber landing plugs of the tank.
    The wound insulating tape a screw-driver wring out the piston in the cylinder and turn out a persistent bolt.
    Holding the piston wrung out, by means of suitable nippers remove a lock ring and take from the cylinder assembly of the primary piston.

At piston extraction the cylinder should occupy horizontal situation, - try not to damage a cylinder mirror.


    For extraction of assembly of the secondary piston develop the cylinder vertically and knock with its landing flange about edges laid on a firm surface of pair of wooden blocks.
    Attentively study an external condition of the taken components, - in case of identification of signs of excessive wear, traces of development of corrosion, cracks, задиров and other mechanical damages prepare replaceable details. Weakened / the damaged piston springs also are subject to replacement. Estimate a condition of the tank of brake liquid, - in case of need prepare replacement.
    Operating as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components, make GTTs assembly, - before filling of the last in the cylinder it is necessary to grease rubber cuffs of pistons with pure brake liquid. Track observance of requirements of Specifications of Head Brake system to efforts of a tightening of carving fixture.

Adjustment of length of a rod of a pusher

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Before installation of assembly of GTTs on the car it is necessary to make adjustment of length of a rod of a pusher.
    Lay on a landing flange of GTTs sealing laying, from above establish the adjusting adaptation, having tightened an adjusting bolt against the stop it in a bottom of a reception nest of piston assembly.
    By means of the manual vacuum pump create in assembly of the brake amplifier depression by depth of 66.7 kPas (500 mm of mercury.).
    Remove the adjusting adaptation from GTTs and press it to a face surface of the vacuum amplifier.
    Measure gap size between a hat of an adjusting bolt and an end face of a rod of a pusher. If the result of measurement falls outside the limits an admissible range (0.1 ÷ 0.3 mm), release a lock-nut and make the corresponding adjustment by rod rotation.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components, - do not forget to replace sealing laying, track observance of requirements of Specifications of Head Brake system to efforts of a tightening of carving fixture.

For a tightening of shtutserny nuts use a cap natural a cutting head.
