Assessment of degree of wear, replacement of blocks of disk brake mechanisms of forward wheels
Assessment of degree of wear
Original brake shoes are equipped with indicators of wear of frictional slips. Liberated from under a slip body the wire indicator starts to rub during braking about a disk surface, publishing high-frequency squeal, - immediately replace blocks.
The visual assessment of degree of wear of frictional overlays of blocks of forward brake mechanisms can be made through special observation ports in back walls of supports (see
an illustration), - the minimum admissible thickness makes 2.0 mm, - in case of need replace blocks.
In case of need remove blocks and make more detailed studying of their condition, - measurement of thickness of a frictional slip is made from the basis of a metal substrate (see
an illustration).

Replacement
For rubbing of components of brake mechanisms it is necessary to use special means, or methyl alcohol, - at all do not apply solvents on an oil basis! |
Blocks should be made in a set for brake mechanisms of both forward wheels. |
Hang out the car over the earth and remove forward wheels.
Turn out pair of directing bolts and remove a support of the brake mechanism, - without disconnecting a flexible brake hose tie up a support to suspension bracket elements.
Will turn out alternatively enough only bottom directing bolt and to cast away a support up, having developed it rather top bolt. |
Take from an anchor bracket of the brake mechanism old blocks.
By means of a special clamp wring out the working piston of a support in the wheel cylinder.
Fill in an anchor bracket new brake shoes, - track correctness of placement of a spring clamp.
Lower a support on the regular place, screw directing bolt (ы) and tighten them with demanded effort.
Operating in a similar manner, replace blocks of the second brake mechanism.
Establish to the place of a wheel and lower the car on the earth.
